Grow your own Sprouts – a simple and fun project to grow something to eat! Choose from several types of sprouts that can be used fresh or sauteed. Be sure to use proper methods to prepare the seed prior to starting. Pick up this free information or click here. One note is that this does require a lot of water. My tip would be to capture the water used at each rinsing for watering plants!

Special offer: $5 off Seed Sprouter with the purchase of 3 packets Sprouting Seeds! Limited time only.

Create your own Fairy Gardens – this magical project is fun for all ages. Create your own at home or sign up for one of our upcoming Make & Take seminars. Check them out here. You can also check out our Pinterest board here.

Put up a Scarecrow with this Kit – Find 4′ life size or 6′ life size Scarecrow kits at The Greenery. You provide the clothes and stuffing, kit includes everything else you need to put up your own scarecrow or family of scarecrows! Sale $19.99, regularly $34.99.

Preserving – Learn how to dry your own fruits and make your own fruit leather! On August 15th our Certified Preserving Expert will demonstrate how to do this at home as well as offer some recipes. Find out more or register here.

Seed Starting – There’s still time to plant a garden! Carrots, cucumbers, short season tomatoes (like Glacier, Red Siberian, Early Girl), summer squash (pumpkins now!, but not winter squash) and beans. Before school resumes you will be able to start winter crops like broccoli, lettuce and more.

    Happy Summer!
